Vona Rae Chambliss

Services for Vona Rae Chambliss, 76, of Brownfield will be held at 2pm Friday, April 18, 2014 at Brownfield Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ken Reeder officiating. Burial will follow at the Brownfield Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 on Thursday, April 17, 2014.
Vona was born on May 17, 1937 in Brownfield to Jesse and Madge Patton. She graduated from Brownfield High School and was a member of First Christian Church in Brownfield. Vona married Clyde Chambliss on May 21, 1954 in Brownfield. She was a Cosmetologist for Rozelles Beauty Shop for 12 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Madge Patton and a daughter, Lydia Gesele Sartain.
Vona is survived by her husband, Clyde Chambliss of Brownfield; a daughter Dianna Walker of San Angelo; 4 grandchildren Tiffani and Kevan Long, Cory Walker and Jackie, Holly Knapp and Courtney Sartain and fianc Phillip Rice; 7 great grandchildren, Madyson, Austin, and Brooklan Long, Brayson Walker, Tyler Olivas, Avery Knapp and Hayleigh Sartain and 2 brothers, Arville Patton of Utah and Don Patton of Oklahoma.
