Funeral Service for Alfredo Martinez will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, August 1, 2025, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Viewing will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Brownfield Funeral Home, with Rosary at 6:00 pm.

Alfredo was born on January 15, 1959, to Francisco Martinez and Petra Garcia Martinez in Rio Grande, ZAC, Mexico. He passed away on July 27, 2025, at the age of 66.

Alfredo was married to Maria A. Diaz on February 24, 1979, and together they celebrated 46 years of a partnership built on love and devotion. Known affectionately as "Pops" by his loved ones, he was a pillar of strength and support, always looking out for the well-being of his family. Throughout his life, Alfredo worked diligently in the agriculture industry, demonstrating a strong work ethic. After retiring, he took great joy in nurturing his garden and tinkering with cars, showcasing his handy skills and love for simple pleasures. Alfredo found solace in Regional Mexican music and cherished moments spent watching movies with his family, bringing warmth and laughter to their gatherings.Alfredo was deeply grounded in his faith, which guided him through life’s challenges and joys. His unwavering belief and gentle spirit left an indelible mark on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Alfredo was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Petra Garcia Martinez; 2 brothers, Esteban and Martin Martinez; and a sister, Socorro Martinez. He is survived by his wife, Maria Martinez; 2 sons, Alfredo Martinez Jr and wife, Arianna, and Ivan Martinez and wife, Alejandra; granddaughter, Marisol Martinez; brother, Francisco Martinez; 2 sisters, Gloria and Rosario Martinez; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
