Alfredo R. Perez

Funeral Services for Alfredo R. Perez will be held at 10 am on Friday, October 20, 2023, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Wolfforth, with Monsignor David Cruz officiating. Burial will follow at Ropesville Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 10 am-8 pm, and Rosary will be held at 6 pm on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Brownfield Funeral Home.

Alfredo R. Perez, born on April 29, 1950, was called home by the Lord on October 16, 2023, at the age of 73. Alfredo was born in Bartlett, Texas, along with his twin brother Amos, to Tereso Juan Perez and Senorina Rico Perez. The family moved to Meadow, Texas in 1960. He met the love of his life, Lidia Martinez, and married in 1967. They had two children, Teresa Maria (Terri) and Alfredo Ricardo (Rick). Alfredo and his family lived most of their life in Lubbock, TX, where he was an auto mechanic.

In 2011, Alfredo and Lidia moved to Ropesville, TX. His true passion was landscaping and planting flowers. He inherited his green thumb from his parents. He was happiest when he was working in his yard and spending most of his days outside. Alfredo was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Wolfforth, TX. He loved his church, family, and the Dallas Cowboys. Alfredo was preceded in death by his parents, Tereso and Senorina Perez; brothers Albert Perez, Steve Perez, Zeke Perez, Adam Perez, and Catarino Perez. 

He is survived by his wife, Lidia Perez; daughter Terri Lopez (Adam); son Rick Perez (Jamie); grandchildren Anthony Perez, Jaydon Perez, Scott Fitzgerald, Michelle Perez, Brendan Perez, Ryland Perez. Surviving siblings, Amos Perez (Tina), Janie Garcia (Alex), Pete Perez (late Janie), T.J Perez (Ninfa), Joe Perez (Ruthie), Arthur Perez (Jane) and Angie Garza (Pete) and many nephews, nieces and extended family.
