Ann Bingham

November 18, 1950 — June 9, 2025

Celebration of Life for Elizabeth Ann Bingham, 74, of Brownfield, Texas, will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Challis Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Seaton officiating, under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Elizabeth Ann went to rest in the arms of Jesus on June 9, 2025, surrounded by her beloved family. She was “Ann” to her family and a large circle of friends. She was born on November 18, 1950, to Ernest and Flossie Richards. Ann dedicated her life to serving God. She married the love of her life, Arthur Bingham, on November 23, 1968. They made their home in Brownfield, Texas, and had two daughters, Kimberly and Shannon.

Ann’s family was her driving force and, it is safe to say, was her greatest source of joy on this earth. She loved her grandkids and great-grandkids dearly! A visit to grandma’s house was filled with yummy food and lots of laughs. She was the picture of a true servant’s heart, and she was always willing to step in and help others without a second thought. It was her heart of gold that led her to be a compassionate mother to so many children and young adults over her lifetime. Words just cannot adequately describe the impact that Ann had on the lives of so many others. Ann was a lifelong member of Challis Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her father, Ernest Franklin Richards; brothers, Ernest Ray Richards and Ernest Jr. Richards; and brother-in-law, Bruce Wayne Smith.

Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Flossie Richards Nutt; sister, Adelya Smith; her husband of 56 years, Arthur Bingham; daughters, Kimberly Clare (Shane) and Shannon Christesson; grandchildren, Saije (Jonathan) Womack, Austin Christesson, Nina Clare, and Zane Clare; niece, Stacy (Clint) Jackstas; nephew, Bruce James Smith; great-grandchildren, Dakota Christesson and Weston Christesson; a large extended family; and numerous friends.

The family would like to thank Interim Hospice and Brownfield Rehabilitation and Care Center for caring for their wife, mother, and grandmother as if she were their own family. Their love and dedication to her comfort and well-being are appreciated beyond words.
