Funeral Service for Belen Miller Lira will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father John Ohlig officiating. Viewing will be from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm on Monday, September 15, 2025, at Brownfield Funeral Home, with Rosary at 6:00 pm.

Belen was born on August 2, 1940, to Manuel and Mary Jane Miller in Corpus Christi, TX. She passed away on September 8, 2025, at the age of 85.

Belen was a dedicated member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and embraced her faith passionately as a participant in the Cursillo Movement. Her commitment to serving others was evident in everything she did. Her family and friends cherished Belen's exceptional cooking skills, as she lovingly prepared meals not only for gatherings at home but also created special dishes for Cursillo Weekends, nurturing both body and soul.

Belen's outgoing personality and zest for life illuminated every room she entered. She found joy in the company of her family and was known for her fun-loving spirit.

Belen was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Mary Jane Miller; husband, Bacilio Lira; stepchildren, Robert Lira and Aurora Trevino; siblings, Gilbert Miller, Emma Miller, Tommy Miller, and Mami Miller. She is survived by her children, Sylvia Lira, Serapio "Larry" Lira (Sueane), Miguel Lira (Vanessa), and Jose Lira (Glenda); and the children of Bacilio and his first wife, Maura, Bacilio "Mike" Lira, Louis Lira, Gloria Martinez, and Lydia Barrios; siblings, Manuel T. Miller, Ernest Miller, and Dorothy Miller; and 6 grandchildren, Marina Lira, Mia Rose Lira, Gloria Lira, Elijah Lira, Anna Lira, and Gianna Lira.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
