Billy Gene Dobson

Funeral services for Billy Gene Dobson will be held 10 am Monday, May 21, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Brownfield with Dr. Matt Baird officiating. Burial will follow at 4:30 pm Monday, May 21, 2018 at Riverview Cemetery in Seymour, TX.
There will be a family visitation from 5pm to 7pm Sunday, May 20, 2018 at the Brownfield Funeral Home.
Billy passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018 in Brownfield. He was born April 29, 1936 in Paris, TX, to Cecil and Annis Dobson. He graduated from Seymour High School. Billy served in the United States Army. He married Nancy LaRue Garner on November 30, 1956 in Seymour. Billy was a member of First Baptist Church of Brownfield. He was also a member of the Optimists International Club where he set flags. He was involved with the Babe Ruth Baseball Club in Brownfield. Billy is preceded in death by his Wife, Nancy Dobson.
Billy is survived by three sons and their spouses, Mike and Kacy Dobson of Garland, TX, Mark and Laurie Dobson of Wichita Falls, TX, and Greg Dobson of Ft. Worth, TX; six grandchildren and their spouses, Curtis Dobson, Kara and Patrick Przybyla, Samantha and Kent Quattlebaum, Marki Dobson and fiance Ryan Kelly, Adam Dobson, Chris Dobson; great-grandchildren, Eric and Adriana Dobson, Lilly Mae and Karlee Quattlebaum; and Ava Przybyla; brother, Jerry Dobson and wife Linda of Savannah, GA.
