Carl James Marsh, Sr.

Graveside service for Carl Marsh will be at 10:00 am March 14, 2022, at Terry County Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Chris Seaton officiating under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Carl James Marsh Sr., 68, of Gardendale, TX passed away on December 25, 2021, at Lincoln Towers in Odessa, Texas. Carl Marsh was a great dad and good friend and son. His neighbors say they knew if they needed anything he would come to help them and they even felt safer with him near. We knew dad always had our back and we could call him anytime and we knew he was very dependable to give us help. We never wondered if he loved us. He taught us to have a great work ethic and volunteer to help those in need. He was an over-the-road salesman who owned his own business and helped many people with their needs and became their friend as well. His presence will be missed.

Carl was born on May 13, 1953, to Carl Leon and Dorotha Ellen (Abney) Marsh in Brownfield, Texas. He is survived by two children, Michelle Lee Sorensen (Sam) and C. James Marsh Jr. (Amber), and four grandchildren, Hadley Sorensen, CJ Sorensen, Wyatt Sorensen and Madalyn Marsh. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl Leon and Dorotha Ellen (Abney ) Marsh, and one Brother, Kenneth Lee Marsh.
