Funeral services for Charles Lee Burkett will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, August 18, 2026,  at Brownfield Funeral Home, with Pastor Josh officiating. A visitation will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2026, at Brownfield Funeral Home, allowing family and friends to gather and pay their respects to a man who meant so much to so many.

Charles Lee Burkett, who left this world on August 12, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on October 2, 1953, in Lamesa, Texas. Charles was a resident of Brownfield, Texas, where he created a life filled with love, laughter, and endless memories. Charles will be remembered as a generous and loving man, known for his hard work and vibrant spirit. He was a true "jack of all trades," with a talent for woodworking and a passion for fixing things. Friends and family knew they could always count on Charles for his knowledge, skills, and willingness to lend a hand. In addition to his many talents, Charles had a remarkable gift for connection. His warm personality and willingness to engage in conversations created bonds with those around him. Charles loved to visit with friends, sharing stories and laughter that left a lasting impact. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Mary Ellen Burkett; his brother, Bob Burkett; and his sister, Fran Standefer. 

Charles leaves behind a loving family: his devoted wife, Manuela; sons, Josh, Andy, Aaron; daughter, Sarah; nine grandchildren; 20 nieces and nephews, with a special bond to his nieces Natali, Cassie, nephew Vincent; brother, Steve Parker; and sister, Jan Burkett.

As we come together to celebrate Charles' life, let us remember the love he brought into our lives and the joyful memories we shared. He will be deeply missed but forever cherished in our hearts.
