Darlene “Bobbie” Duran, 80, passed away Friday, June 13, 2014 in Brownfield. She was born August 30, 1933 in Portland, Oregon to Henry Winters and Mary Reihl. She graduated from high school in Portland, Oregan. Bobbie was active in the USO where she met her husband, George “Ed” Edward Duran. They married on May 2, 1953 in Portland, Oregon. They moved to Brownfield in 1968. Bobbie worked at the Brownfield Regional Medical Center for twenty plus years. She was active with the Harvest Festival. Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Duran.
Bobbie is survived by two daughters, Beth Smith and husband, Brian, of Brownfield, Chere Duran of Brownfield; 3 grandchildren, Hollie Denton and husband, John, of Austin, Shilo Wilson and husband, Robert, of Brownfield, Alex Fonseca and wife, Jordan, of Dalhart; 8 great grandchildren, and siblings, Carl, John, Dennis and Carol.
