David, affectionately called “The Gov” by those who loved him, was a devoted husband to the love of his life, Janie. David and Janie met in Brownfield and had 17 fun and loving years together.

David had a passion for the outdoors and found solace in fishing and hunting. He possessed a deep appreciation for nature's beauty. Additionally, David had a talent for refurbishing old cars, spending countless hours tinkering away and infusing new life into vintage vehicles.

Another great love of David's life was horses. Whether it was caring for them or indulging in a leisurely ride, his connection to these magnificent animals brought him immense joy and fulfillment.

Whenever David had the opportunity, he would eagerly escape to the lake, where he could relax and soak in the peaceful surroundings. These moments away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life allowed him to get away and recharge.

Known for his vibrant spirit and infectious sense of humor, David was the life of the party. His zest for life was contagious, brightening the days of those fortunate enough to be in his presence.

David's love extended to his grandchildren, who affectionately called him Pappy. He shared a special bond with each of them, showering them with love, wisdom, and playful laughter. They will forever hold in their hearts the memories and lessons shared with their adored Pappy.
