Graveside Service for DeeAnna Jo Miramontes will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Terry County Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Chris Seaton officiating. Viewing will be held from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Brownfield Funeral Home.

DeeAnna Jo Miramontes, 84, passed away in San Angelo on March 10, 2024. She was born on July 11, 1939, in Pampa to Kelly and Edna Ware and was the oldest of four sisters. 

DeeAnna spent her childhood in Brownfield, graduating from Brownfield High School and attending South Plains College. She gave birth to her two sons, Jacky Ivy and Kelly Ivy, while living in Brownfield. She was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church for many years until the family moved away. DeeAnna had such a love for animals that she became a volunteer and worked for the local chapter of the Humane Society. She also fostered several animals until they found their forever homes.

DeeAnna is preceded in death by her parents, Kelly and Edna Ware; sister, Lana Durham; former husband, Jack Ivy; and grandson, Christopher Ivy.

She is survived by her two sons, Jacky Ivy and wife Pam of Amarillo and Kelly Ivy and wife Jan of San Angelo; 2 sisters, Arlie Dunn of Iowa Park and Reta Taylor of Fort Worth; 5 grandchildren, Ame, Brad, Sarah, Shaun, and Kevin and numerous great-grandchildren.

DeeAnna passed away after a lengthy illness. The family wishes to thank all the staff of Sagecrest Alzheimer's Center at the Baptist Retirement Community in San Angelo for their excellent care.
