Dollie Roella Lidzy

Services for Dollie Roella Lidzy, 86, of Brownfield will be held at 10am Friday, October 2, 2015 at the Brownfield Church of Christ with Rev. Mike Martindale and Bob Reynolds officiating.

Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Brownfield Funeral Home.

Dollie was born on May 23, 1929 to Raynell Edgar and Mary Jane Peugh in Lubbock. She graduated from Lubbock High School and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Texas Tech. She was a Toastmaster, accomplished member of the Art Association. Dollie married Lee Lidzy on August 2, 1947 in Lubbock. She was a former member of the Presbyterian Church of Brownfield.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lee Lidzy and parents, Raynell Edgar and Mary Jane Peugh;

Dollie is survived by her son, Averett Lidzy of Lubbock; 2 daughters, Becky Wood of Lubbock and Jan Cornett and husband Craig of Brownfield; daughter-in-law, Mary Salyars of Lubbock; 5 grandchildren, Natasha Campbell and husband Paul of Lubbock, Evan Cornett of Brownfield, Paul Lidzy of San Antonio, Nathan Wood of Bowie and Paloma Marshall and husband Kyle of New Jersey and 5 great-grandchildren.

Donations may be made to the Kendrick Memorial Library, Veterans or American Heart Association.
