Funeral Service for Dora Hernandez will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Brownfield Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Seaton officiating. Viewing will be from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Brownfield Funeral Home, with Rosary at 6:00 pm.
Dora was born on May 7, 1956, to Jesus and Francisca Cantu in Brownfield, TX. She passed away on February 15, 2026, at the age of 69.
Dora was a lively person with a fiery personality. She grew up in Brownfield and worked in the clothing industry in both Amarillo and Brownfield. Dora enjoyed collecting various items over the years, all of which held a special place in her heart. Her grandchildren were particularly important to her.
Dora is preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Fransica Cantu; sisters, Mary Gonzales and Elvira Jimenez; brothers, Robert Cantu, Lupe Tijerina, Joe Tijerina, Arturo Cantu, and Simon Cantu; nieces, Michelle Leija, Martha Cantu, and Rosa Tijerina; and nephew, Jody Barnhart.
She is survived by her daughters, Frances Morin of Holland, MI, Brenda Simpson and husband Terry of Brownfield; sons, Marciano Morin of San Angelo, Nuno Morin of Holland, MI, Jimmy Morin and wife Sara of Holland, MI; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sisters, Delia Barnhart and Anita Ramero; and numerous nieces and nephews.
