Celebration of life will be held at 10:00 am Friday, September 4, 2026 at Praise Temple in Anchorage, Alaska.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Enedina Vera Gonzales, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished member of her family, who passed away peacefully on August 27, 2026, at the age of 77.Enedina was born May 9, 1949 to Estanislado and Marcela Vera.Enedina was a proud native Texan who later made Alaska her home after moving there in 2006. She carried her love for her family with her wherever life took her. Family was at the center of her heart, and she treasured every moment spent with the people she loved. Enedina had a deep love for music, which brought her joy throughout her life. Above all, she loved Jesus, and her faith was an important part of who she was. Her warmth, love, strength, and gentle spirit touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. Enedina’s love for her family will live on through the generations she leaves behind. Though her family will deeply miss her presence, her memory, her love, her faith, and the beautiful moments they shared will remain in our hearts forever.Enedina was deeply loved, and she will be profoundly missed.

She is survived by her beloved children; José Luis Gonzales Sr. (Irma), Gracie Olivas (Billy), Rachel Clayton (Mark) and Stella CisnerosShe also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Allison Olivas, José Luis Gonzales Jr., Danielle Gonzales, Lauralee Reyes, Mark Cisneros Jr., and Kristian Cisneros, as well as six great-grandchildren, who brought tremendous love and joy into her life.
