Frederick Pickett

Services for Frederick Matthew Pickett, 67, of Brownfield will be at 2pm, Friday, January 14, 2011 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Carter officiating. Burial will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Freddie passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2011 in Brownfield. He was born January 2, 1944 in Brownfield to Alvis T. and Kathleen Pickett. He graduated from Brownfield High School. He then attended South Plains College in Levelland. Freddie married Serah Elizabeth Dodson on July 6, 1971 in Lubbock. She preceded him in death on September 2, 1979. He was a member of the Lions Club for a short time and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He loved his church family and singing with the choir.

Freddie is survived by a daughter, Ruby Lois Hildreth and husband Ian of Pearl City, Hawaii; a son, Danny Pickett of Brownfield; a brother, Herbie Pickett and wife Sharon of Brownfield; 4 grandchildren, A.J. and Emily Hildreth, Trinity and Cloe Pickett; 3 nieces, Rita Todd of Brownfield, Latrice Allison and husband Ricky of Brownfield, and Wanda Hall and husband Kevin of Bryan; many great nieces and nephews.
