Gabriella Martinez

Gabriella Martinez, 97 passed away on October 17, 2020, in Hobs, NM. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at Brownfield Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Brownfield Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Family visitation will be held from 10 am to 12 pm on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at Brownfield Funeral Home.

Gabriella was born in Paint Rock, TX on February 27, 1923, to Tiro and Presiliana Solz. She married Jimmy Martinez in Lamesa, TX on November 11, 1941. Gabriella moved to Brownfield in 1959 until 2014 when she moved to Hobs, NM. She joined the Brownfield Church of Christ in 1984 and was a great example of a good Christian. She was intelligent, patient, calm, and a good mother. Gabriella was hard-working and worked in bakeries. In her later years, she was a companion to the elderly. Gabriella is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jimmy Martinez; daughter, Margarita Gonzales, and six sisters.

Gabriella is survived by two children, Santiago Martinez and wife Olga, Rosemary Cofer and husband Greg; Son-in-law Robert Gonzales; 13 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
