Graveside services for Glenda McCullough will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at the Terry County Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Chris Seaton officiating.

Glenda McCullough (Brookey) was born on October 3, 1941 in Brownfield, Texas, to Frank and Billie Brookey. She wed the love of her life Clyde Lewis McCullough on October 3, 1959 in Brownfield.

Glenda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was also a cake decorator, truck driver, nurse and a quilter. She is best remembered as the first female police officer in West Texas.

She is preceded in death by her husband Clyde McCullough, son Jimmy McCullough, and daughter Lori Mendez.

Glenda is survived by brothers, Tommy Brookey and David Brookey, sisters, Susan Webb and Jodi Johnson, and daughter, Dana Robertson. She is also survived by grandchildren Jacob Mendez, Jayson Mendez, Lynzi Mireles, Nicholas Jones, Sean Jones and Cody Jones, along with numerous great-grandchildren.
