Helen Marie Worsham passed peacefully from this life into Heaven on December 4, 2023. She was born March 8, 1933, to Melvin and Edna Waldrop.  Helen was the youngest of nine children. She was a proud 90 years old and lived her entire life in the Tokio, TX and Plains, TX communities. She attended school in the Turner Community and then moved to the Plains School District and was a majorette in the Plains Band. In January 1950, she married William Worsham. They were married for 67 years. They lived and had a farming operation in the Tokio community for 25 years before moving into Plains in 1975. They continued to farm until the mid 1990's.

Helen was a member of the Turner Home Demonstration Club and loved all of the friends and activities of the community. Helen enjoyed sewing, making all kinds of crafts, arranging silk flowers, quilting, ceramic painting, and was a great cook. She loved baking pies, cakes, cookies, and making Christmas candy, and loved sharing them with friends and family.

Helen loved her church family at Plains First Baptist and loved participating in numerous activities. But her greatest joy of all was her girls. She attended every volleyball game Edith ever played. She made banquet and prom dresses, helped with school parties, and always was involved with whatever Edith participated in. Then Helen's first and only granddaughter came into this world. Staci was the light of her life. Staci and Grandma made Christmas cookies, Easter cakes, and all kinds of goodies.  She never missed a school program, stock show, or volleyball game.

After Helen and William retired from farming, they took Staci in the summers and traveled over a great deal of the U.S. They bought at least one T-shirt from every state they visited. They went to amusement parks and other attractions they could find. Then, Helen was blessed with two more girls, her great-granddaughters: Shelbi and Kaidi. She loved watching them play T-ball, soccer, and playing in band concerts.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents, all of her siblings, husband William, and great-granddaughter Randi Jo Albert.

Helen is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Edith and Randy Tuggle of Plains, TX, granddaughter and husband Staci and Alvin Albert of Smyer, TX, two great-granddaughters Shelbi and Kaidi Albert, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Helen loved her nurses at Crown Point Health Suites in Lubbock where she lived the last two years. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to: Trish, Becky, Lori, Quinta, Sandra, Brittany, Jodie, Krista, Kristie, and all of the staff at Crown Point. They are all another piece of her life.
