Jay Wayne Wade

Jay Wayne Wade passed away at the age of 69, on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at 2 pm at the Brownfield Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Seaton officiating.

Jay was born September 18, 1952, to J. W. Wade and Bonita Wade Medley in Brownfield, Texas. He graduated from high school in Socorro, NM, where the family had moved and operated an alfalfa farm. He moved back to Brownfield in 1980, and soon began farming on his own. Some of Jay's hobbies included hunting and fishing. He enjoyed meeting his friends in the morning for a cup of coffee and conversation, and was proud to be part of the Brownfield community.

He is survived by his two sons, Clint and wife, Vandy, of Midland, and Cager and wife, Gayla, of Brownfield; grandchildren, Amberleigh, Haydon, and Braylee; sisters, Sue Owens, Kay Rogers, and Betty Sharp; nieces, nephews, and extended family.
