Funeral Service for Jesus Perez Benavente, 63, will be held at 10 am on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Brownfield Funeral Home. Viewing will be held from 10 am to 8 pm on Friday, February 23, 2024, at Brownfield Funeral Home.

Jesus was born on August 7, 1960, to Jesus Perez Calzada and Maria Concepcion Benavente Amaya in Mexico. He passed away on February 21, 2024, in Lubbock.

Jesus lived a life filled with hard work and a love for the open road as a dedicated truck driver. He found solace in the beauty of classical music, a passion that brought him joy throughout his years. But more than anything, he loved being a father, grandpa, and great-grandpa.

Jesus was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Maria; 3 brothers, Juan, Santiago, and Tomas Perez Benavente. He is survived by his children, Mindy Perez, Jessie Perez, Leighann Perez and Tommy Perez; 18 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; his significant other, Frances Fuentes; stepchildren, Stephanie and Juan Garcia and siblings, Ernesto Perez Benavente and Rosa Marie Perez Benavente.
