Kent Crutcher was born at the Seagraves Hospital on June 4, 1953, to GH Crutcher, a workaholic, and Minnie Snider, both of whom are deceased. Kent passed away on January 22, 2026, at the age of 72. His siblings were Karen, who is deceased, and Gary, who lives in Wellman. Even though Kent’s time was short, he chose to write his own obituary, and these are the high points of his life.
Kent worked for his father on the cotton farm from age 6 to 17, 15 hours a day in the summer- 11 years of hard labor that shaped him. He graduated from Seagraves High School in 1971, where he was an All-State running back and excelled in other sports.
Kent earned a Bachelor's in Finance, another in Accounting, a Master's in Economics, and an MBA. He was a CPA. He met his wife of 30 years, Loia Hait, during his senior year of high school. Loia was exceptionally bright and beautiful. She was a good, dutiful wife to Kent. Their children are Jessi, a National Merit Scholar and top 10% law school student, now a Partner-Attorney in Houston; Emeline, an Academic All-American college athlete with a PhD in Genetics in the Los Angeles area; John (JG), a Mechanical Engineer currently building a $5 billion hospital in Dallas; and Scota, who was stillborn.
When Kent was in his early 30s, he dedicated about 10,000 hours to genealogy work. A summary is available at crutchercpa.com. Kent mentioned that something changed for him in his mid-30s and beyond - he became aware of the deep corruption in our nation. He avoided television and newspapers for 37 years. Instead, he read around a thousand books, many over 100 years old, on race, ancient civilizations, and Identity Christianity. He also wrote three books, which are also listed at crutchercpa.com.
Starting at age 42, Emeline, John, and Kent practiced Taekwondo for six hours a week over the next eight years. The three of them earned their Black Belts when Kent was 52, Emeline was 16, and JG was 14. Kent farmed irrigated cotton northwest of Wellman for over 18 years. He jogged daily, a habit he maintained for 40 years. Kent read the Bible cover to cover four times and studied it daily for 25 years.
