Lawrence "Larry" R. Springer

January 27, 1954 — November 30, 2025

Celebration of Life for Lawrence “Larry” R. Springer will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Agape Global Methodist Church in Lubbock under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the church from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm prior to the service.

Larry was born on January 27, 1954, to Robert Herman and Mae Elizabeth Springer in Buffalo, NY. He passed away on November 30, 2025, at the age of 71.

Larry will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Rosetta Springer, with whom he shared a profound bond that began during their college years in Marshall, MO. His devotion to family and friends defined his life, as he made countless lasting connections through his warmth and loyalty.

An Eagle Scout in his youth, Larry’s passion for service guided him throughout his life. His work with the Boy Scouts brought him and Rosetta to Lubbock, where he continued to touch lives not only as a financial advisor specializing in estate planning but also as a dedicated minister. He served tirelessly in two churches over nearly two decades: Sudan United Methodist Church and Agape Global Methodist Church, demonstrating his servant's heart and genuine care for those around him. He actively served in both the Llano Estacado and Amherst Emmaus Communities.

In his leisure time, Larry thrived on the golf course, where his love for the sport illuminated his spirit. He particularly enjoyed participating in benefit tournaments, and he had recently found joy as a wine aficionado, savoring the rich experiences life had to offer.

Larry enjoyed supporting and connecting with his grandsons by attending their tennis matches, chatting about cars, and sparring on the chessboard. He closed every day by snuggling and spoiling his dogs.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Herman and Mae Elizabeth Springer; sister, Kathy Springer Suzuki; and granddaughter, Alexanna Rose Garcia. He is survived by his wife, Rosetta Springer of Lubbock; 2 daughters, Diana (E.J.) Garcia of Brownfield and Lauren (Josh) Williams; grandchildren, Carrina (Jake) Barnes, Gabriella Garcia, Joshua Jack Garcia, Griffin Williams, Luke Garcia, Genevieve Williams, and Penelope Williams; brother, Richard "Dick" (Peg) Springer; and his faithful dog, Mac.

Interment of Larry’s cremated remains will take place at a later date in January.
