Leona Jones

Service for Leona Marie Jones, 94, of Brownfield will be held at 10am Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Meadow First Baptist Church in Meadow with Chris Seaton officiating. Burial will follow at the Meadow Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Leona passed away on March 17, 2014. She was born to William Franklin and Mattie Mae Mangis on October 22, 1919 in Harmon County, Ok. Leona married Edward Franklin Jones on June 7, 1940 in Hollis, Ok. One of her favorite past times was playing dominos. She is preceded in death by her husband Ed who passed on June 7, 1977; her parents and a sister, Juanita Mangis.
Leona is survived by 2 sons, Glynn Jones and wife Ruth of Brownfield and Terry Jones and wife Marjorie of Lakeland, Fl; a daughter, Sue Stockton and husband Tommy of Lubbock; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth Mangis of Brownfield.
The family would like to thank Cottage Village for the loving care of their mother for 4 years. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to St. Judes Hospital in Memphis, TN or M.D. Anderson in Houston.
