Funeral Services for Mary Ann Hunter Hulse will be held at 10 am, Friday, October 25, 2019, at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Pastor William Eudy officiating. Burial will follow at Terry County Memorial Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.brownfieldfuneralhome.com.
Visitation will be held 5-7 pm, Thursday, October 24, 2019, at Brownfield Funeral Home.
Mary Ann Hunter Hulse, 97, was born in Whitesboro, TX on May 1, 1922, to Burch Edgar and Ermine Hunter. She departed this earthly life, Monday, October 21, 2019, in Lubbock, TX. She married the love of her life, Curtis Hulse, May 23, 1940, in Lovington, NM. They were life-long residents of Brownfield and Terry County. Curtis was a farmer for many years. He preceded her in death in June 2002.
Mary Ann was Valedictorian of her Union High School Class and went on to Texas Tech University later in life and obtained her teaching degree. She taught at Sundown Elementary until her retirement.
She moved to Wilshire Place and Wilshire on 4th in Lubbock in April 2018, where she lived until the time of her death. Our heartfelt thank you to these two facilities for their love and compassion shown to our loved one.
Those left to mourn her passing include 2 sons, Geoff and wife, Linda Hulse of Muleshoe, TX and Mark and wife, Pam Hulse of Hobbs, NM; 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
