Melba Joyce Boen, 68, of Brownfield passed away on October 26, 2015 in Lubbock. A visitation will be held at Brownfield Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Thursday, October 29, 2015.
Melba was born on March 6, 1947 to James “Pete” and Alva Chancellor in Brownfield. She graduated from Brownfield High School and worked for Academy for many years before retiring. She enjoyed horseback riding and crocheting. Melba is preceded in death by her parents, James “Pete” and Alva Chancellor and a sister, Mary Railey.
Melba is survived by her children, James Boen and wife Tiffany of Lubbock, Tammy Boen of Houston and Dannette Fargason and husband Rusty, of Snyder; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and 2 sisters, Sharon Cromer of Midland and Lois Hook and husband Thomas of Brownfield.
