Melinda Murphy

Services for Melinda Murphy, 43, of Brownfield will be held at 10 am on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father John Ohlig officiating.

Rosary will be held from 6-8 pm Friday, November 4, 2022, at Brownfield Funeral Home Chapel.

Melinda was born on December 31, 1978 to Robert and Lupe Gonzales in Lubbock. She worked as a Texas Work Advisor for Health and Human Services. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Melinda was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt and dearly loved by her family. She was compassionate, selfless, very passionate and a self-proclaimed hot mess. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Albert Castaneda, Sr. and Victoria Castaneda.

Melinda is survived by her son, Mason Murphy; daughter, Mary Murphy; mother, Lupe C. Gonzales; sisters; Priscilla Rodriguez and husband Ruben, Suzanna Perea, Amanda Gonzales, Vanessa Flores and husband Stephen, Alisha Gonzales and husband Jeremy Franco, Pamela Jobe and husband J.J. and Ashley Swain and husband Joel and many nieces and nephews.
