Funeral services for Minerva Garcia, 68, of Brownfield, will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, with Father John Ohlig officiating. A visitation will be held at 5 pm with a  Rosary starting at 6 pm on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Brownfield Funeral Home.

Minerva was a woman of remarkable passion, her love for dancing woven deeply into the tapestry of who she was. More than anything, she found joy in moving to music—a graceful expression of her soul that captivated everyone fortunate enough to share a dance with her. But beyond her radiant smile and fluid steps, Minerva's heart beat strongest for her beloved children and grandchildren and significant other Enrique Alarcon, around whom her love and devotion endlessly revolved. She was a nurturing force, steadfast and tender, providing a foundation of warmth and support for her family. Her life was also enriched by many cherished friends, each of whom was a treasured part of her journey.

Minerva is proceeded in death by her parents, Hipolito and Micaela Ramirez and daughter, Norma Garcia.

Minerva is survived by her sons, Raphael Garcia, Arturo Garcia and wife Jessica; grandchildren, Maleah, Phillip, and Frederick; significant other, Enrique Alarcon; and many brothers and sisters.
