Monico Marez

Funeral services for Monico Marez will be held at 2 pm Friday, January 4, 2019, at St. Anthonys Catholic Church with Father Jose Kochuparambie officiating. Burial will follow in the Brownfield Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
There will be a family visitation from 6 pm to 7 pm on Thursday, January 3, 2019, with a rosary following from 7 pm to 8 pm at Brownfield Funeral Home.
Monico was born May 4, 1943, to Victor and Cruz Escobedo Marez in Sinton. He married Dora Grimaldo on September 3, 1961, in Brownfield. He was a member of St. Anthonys Catholic Church. Monico was a wonderful man and a blessing to all. He was a great dad and grandpa with a big heart that was open to everyone. Monico was a self-taught man that is the reason his family is where they are today. Monico is preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Cruz Marez, two sisters, Maria Rodriguez, Oralia Alaniz, brother, Daniel Marez, and grandson, Derrick Nathaniel Marez.
Monico is survived by his wife Dora Marez; five children, Carolina Kail and husband, Rodger, Monico Marez Jr. and wife, Gloria, Santos Martinez, Victor Marez and wife, Patsy, Tony Marez; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and brother, Joe Mendez.
