Funeral Service for Patsy Lou Nicholson-Campbell will be at 10:00 am on Monday, September 29, 2025, at Brownfield Church of Christ, with Bo Shero officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Brownfield Funeral Home.
Patsy passed away peacefully in her home on September 25, 2025, at the age of 79. She was born on April 26, 1946, in Greenville, TX, to Wayne & Maxine McKinney. It did not take Patsy long to move to Brownfield, and she has been a lifelong Brownfield Cub. She graduated from Brownfield High School in 1964.
Patsy served and loved her community with all of her heart. She had a work ethic that was unmatched and always worked harder than anyone around. She consistently held multiple jobs and has been a Terry County business owner for 53 years.
Patsy played many roles in her life--friend, boss, mother, wife, and most importantly--GRAN. Most times, her introductions included the phrase, "People your size call me Gran" (regardless of their size).
Patsy raised two daughters- one she had and one she bought(adopted), but she never could remember which was which. Amy and Sara were her pride and joy, and she poured herself into raising them.
Patsy married Curtis Campbell "Coach" on June 13, 1991. Together they lived and loved BIG and raised a rowdy ruckus everywhere they went. She gained a bonus son with their marriage- CJ Campbell.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Wayne & Maxine McKinney, one brother, Jimmy Garnett McKinney, and one sister, Paula Ann Steele.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband- Curtis (Coach) Campbell, her two daughters- Amy Howard (husband Josh) of Brownfield, TX, Sara Hays of Lubbock, TX, son CJ Campbell of Lubbock, TX, her brother- Ronnie McKinney (wife Vickie) of Greenville, TX, Grandchildren- Devin Martinez (wife Crystal) of Brownfield, TX, Daniel Paiva (wife Stephanie) of Des Moines, IA, Shaun Paiva (wife Jolie) of Leander, TX, Kaytee Hays of Lubbock, TX, Kelsee Hays of Lubbock, TX, Aubri Campbell of Lubbock, TX, Taylor Harvey, Saige Howard and Channing Howard, all from Seminole, TX. Finally, she will be dearly missed by twelve great-grandchildren.
Gran's physical presence will be missed by many, but her fiery spirit and legacy will go on forever. We thank the Lord for the gift of salvation through Christ, which comforts us to know that we will one day see her again in heaven.
