Funeral services for Raquel Quintana Lopez, 56, of Brownfield will be held at 10am Friday, October 2, 2026 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Father John Ohlig officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-6pm and rosary from 6-7pm on Thursday, October 1, 2026 at Brownfield Funeral Home Chapel.

Raquel Quintana Lopez, born on October 24, 1969 to Eduwiges Quintana and Juana Lopez Palacio in Mexico. Raquel will be remembered as someone who was easy to get along with and whose warmth made others feel welcome. She was always willing to cook; an expression of care that reflected her generous spirit and the love she poured into the people around her. More than anything, Raquel loved her family, and that love was at the center of her life. Those who knew Raquel describe her as a great mother, wife, grandmother, and mother-in-law. She carried these roles with devotion and kindness, giving of herself in ways both quiet and lasting. Her presence brought comfort, her care brought people together, and her love will continue to be felt in the hearts of all who knew her. Raquel was preceded in death by her father, Eduwiges Quintana.

Raquel is survived by her husband, Manuel Palma Moreno; daughters, Belem Castillo, Maylen Palma, Reina Palma; grandchildren, Dorian, Ebelyn, Alberto, Galilea, Jazlyn, Yareli, Jazziel; mother, Juana Lopez Palacio, siblings, Isabel, Martha, Raul, Cesar, Biken; son-in-laws, Johan, and Alberto.
