Rene L. Franco

A Funeral Service to celebrate and honor the life of Rene L. Franco, 54, will be held at the Abundant Harvest Community Church at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 11, 2023. 

Viewing will be held from 10:00 am-8:00 pm on Friday, November 10, 2023 at Brownfield Funeral Home.

Rene was a man who loved life and found great pleasure in the simple things. He had a wonderful sense of humor that could light up any room, and his laughter would reverberate in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Rene had a deep passion for sports, particularly the Cowboys, Lakers, and Yankees. Many joyful moments were spent cheering on his favorite teams, sharing his enthusiasm with family and friends.

Family was everything to Rene. Spending quality time with his children Taylor and Sarah brought him immense happiness and pride. Rene's love extended to his grandchildren, who were the apples of his eye. He would eagerly attend all their games, cheering them on from the sidelines, lending his unwavering support. Rene cherished moments spent with his entire family, creating lasting memories that will be treasured for generations to come.

In addition to his love for family and sports, Rene valued the friendships he had cultivated over the years. He was known for his loyalty and a willingness to go above and beyond for his friends, always ready with a helping hand or a listening ear. Those fortunate enough to have shared a part of their lives with Rene will forever hold his friendship and sense of humor close to their hearts. Rene will be dearly missed, but his spirit will forever remain in the treasured memories, legacies, and hearts of all those who were fortunate enough to know him.  Rene was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Amelia Franco; siblings, Raul Franco, Rosa Corral, Rosendo Franco and several nieces and nephews.

Rene is survived by his children, Taylor Franco and Sarah Alaniz and husband Marcos; grandchildren, Lennon and Jude Franco; siblings, Ruben Franco, Rita Mesquias, Rachel Guerra and husband Albert, Ramona Franco and Martha Broome and husband Gary, Juan Franco, Jesus Franco, Elvia Franco, Carlos Franco; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Franco and several nieces and nephews.
