Funeral Services for Ricardo S. Gonzales, 70, will be held at 10am on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at St Anthony’s Catholic Church. Rosary will be held from 5-7pm Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at Brownfield Funeral Home.
Ricardo S Gonzales, born on June 25, 1956, passed away on July 6, 2026, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of humor, devotion, and unwavering love. Ricardo's spirit will be remembered for his ever-present sense of humor, which brought lightness and laughter to every gathering. He had a knack for lifting spirits, always ready with a witty remark or a playful joke. His laughter was infectious, often echoing through the homes and hearts of those fortunate enough to know him. Devoted to those he loved; Ricardo was known for his steadfast support and generosity. He always showed up, no matter the circumstance, lending a helping hand and offering comforting words right when they were needed most. His family was the center of his universe, and he showed his affection in countless ways, big and small. Among his most memorable sayings was, “what mother wants, mother gets,” a testament to his caring nature and his willingness to go above and beyond for those he cherished. A true Dallas Cowboys fan, Ricardo’s passion for his favorite team was matched only by his enthusiasm for life and his ability to find joy in the every day. Whether watching a game with friends, sharing stories, or simply enjoying the company of those he loved, Ricardo’s warmth and humor left an indelible mark. Ricardo was preceded in death by his parents, Gonzalo and Emma Gonzales; brothers, Ramon Gonzales, Jose Gonzales, Robert Gonzales, great granddaughter, Aniah Marie Saenz and nephews, Jose Juan Acosta and Ruben Acosta.
Ricardo is survived by his wife of 52 years, Irma Gonzales; children, Michelle Luna and husband Valentine; Marisa Lamb and husband Jason, Ricardo Gonzales, Jr.; Mercedes Najera and husband John and Ronnie Gonzales; 16 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; siblings Paula Acosta and husband Juan, Rebecca Gonzales, Gonzalo Gonzales and wife Lolie, Raul Gonzales and wife Patti and several nieces and nephews.
