Richard’s days were colored by the pursuits he cherished most. He found immense happiness on verdant golf courses and echoing bowling alleys—pastimes that were as much about camaraderie as they were about skill. His adventurous spirit led him to travel, embracing the wonders of new places with a deep appreciation. An occasional visit to a casino brought out his lively side, always in search of a bit of luck and fun. Yet, beneath these passions was a profound foundation of faith and love for family. Richard’s heart belonged to Christ, a devotion that guided him each day and inspired those around him. His commitment to Calvary Baptist Church was unwavering; it was here that he fostered friendships, lent a helping hand, and strengthened his spiritual journey. The warmth of his faith was rivaled only by the depth of his love for his family—a love that was unconditional, proud, and ever resilient Richard was preceded in death by his wives, Edith Joann Meil and Nancy Jo Meil; parents, Richard Eddie and Alma Jo Meil and siblings, Jessie Ed Meil and Barbara Oliver.
Richard is survived by his son Tony Meil and wife Dusty; daughter, Cathy Meil-Singh; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
