Richard "Rick" Bond

Rick was born on February 9, 1956, in Brownfield, to Billy Charles Bond and Joyce Bond, and passed away on March 14, 2024. He grew up in El Paso, TX, and graduated from Coronado High School. Throughout his life, Rick built a successful career as a licensed irrigator, owning Rick’s Sprinkler Systems and later working with Diversity D Irrigation.
Rick's passion for his work was apparent to all who knew him, and he took great pride in owning Bond Nursery alongside his father for over two decades. His friendly demeanor and love for conversation meant that he never met a stranger.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Rick found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a deep appreciation for classic cars and enjoyed spending his leisure time fishing. A true Texan at heart, he relished sipping on a refreshing Dr. Pepper.
Rick is preceded in death by parents, Billy Charles and Joyce Bond. He is survived by daughter, Melissa Beck; a sister, Tammy Bond (Kelly); a brother, Joe Bond (Beverly); 2 grandchildren, Branson Beck and Carson Beck; and his dear friend, Norma Madrigal.
