Funeral Service for Rosa Tijerina will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father John Ohlig officiating. Viewing will be from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, and from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Brownfield Funeral Home, with Rosary at 6:00 pm both days.
Rosa was born on January 13, 1964, to Joe Tijerina and Lorene Barnhart Tijerina in Brownfield, TX. She passed away on September 6, 2025, at the age of 61.
Rosa dedicated over 35 years of her life to building her own cleaning service, a testament to her strong work ethic. Known for her meticulous attention to detail and dedication to her clients, Rosa took pride in her work. Music was her constant companion, and she could often be found listening to her favorite tunes, adding rhythm to her day. A devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Rosa enjoyed cheering for her team and sharing those moments with family and friends.
Rosa was a truly joyful and beautiful individual. She had a strong desire to assist others in their time of need. Rosa loved cooking for her family and found great joy in it. She cherished every moment spent with her son, Rudy and daughter-in-law, Amy and her grandchildren. Rosa also enjoyed spending time with her sisters, Susan and Louisa, and her niece, Jodi DeLuna.
Rosa was deeply committed to her faith and enjoyed praying with her sisters daily. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Brownfield.
Rosa was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Lorene Tijerina; grandparents, Joe Tijerina and Frances Constancio, and Ted Barnhart and Isabell Gonzalez; daughter, Becky Tijerina; brother, Jessie Tijerina; 2 twin grandchildren, Rudy and Ray Rodriguez; and niece, Frances Tijerina.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Rudy Rodriguez (Amy) of Brownfield; significant other, Ramon Arredondo; 5 grandchildren, Zachary Rodriguez, Meagan Rodriguez, Rudy G. Rodriguez, Jayden Tijerina, Cayley Contreras; 3 brothers, Joe Tijerina, Jessie Tijerina (Peggy), and Elias Tijerina; 2 sisters, Susan Tijerina and Louisa Alvarado (Jason); and numerous family and friends.
