Ruth Inez King

Graveside service for Ruth Inez King, 91, of Brownfield will be held at Scranton Cemetery at 2 pm on Wednesday, July 13, 2022.

Visitation will be held at Brownfield Funeral Home from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, July 12, 2022.

Ruth Inez King was born on September 1, 1930 to S. L. and Cora Cook in Cisco. She was a member of Brownfield Church of Christ. Alvin was a gin manager for many cotton gins in the area and Ruth was always by his side as his bookkeeper. She was a quiet and gentle spirt and a faithful servant to the Lord. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Hawkins King; parents, S.L. and Cora Cook and a son-in-law, Lee Martin.

Ruth is survived by her son, Kyle King and wife Dayna; daughters, Patty Snider and husband John and Paula Martin; 8 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
