Funeral Services for Sylvia Gonzalez, 59, of Brownfield, will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Brownfield Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Chris Seaton officiating.

Viewing will be held from 10 am-8 pm on Friday, September 1, 2023, at Brownfield Funeral Home.

Sylvia, a beloved member of the community known for her warm smile and infectious sense of humor, passed away on August 24, 2023. She was born on December 27, 1963, in Sabinas Hidalgo, Mexico, to Felipe and Maria Gonzalez.

Sylvia will be remembered for her vibrant personality. With an ever-present smile on her face, she brought light into every room she entered. Her ability to make people laugh was unparalleled; she had a knack for finding humor in even the most mundane moments. Sylvia's infectious laughter will echo in the hearts of all who knew her.

Sewing was one of Sylvia's cherished pastimes. She had a talent for creating beautiful dresses. Her attention to detail and creativity shone through in every handcrafted piece she made. Another hobby that brought Sylvia great joy was visiting garage sales. She had an uncanny ability to spot hidden treasures amongst piles of discarded items. Exploring these sales became an adventure for her as she unearthed unique finds. Sylvia's knack for finding hidden gems often led to exciting stories about her latest discoveries.

Sylvia leaves behind a legacy of laughter, kindness, and dedication. She will be fondly remembered by her family and friends. Her unwavering positive spirit served as an inspiration to all those around her. Her love for life was infectious, making everyone feel loved and valued. Sylvia was preceded in death by her father, Felipe Gonzales.

Sylvia is survived by her sons, Andy Almaraz, Jorge Castro, and Carlos Almaraz; grandson, Jorge Esteban; mother, Maria Gonzalez; and 7 siblings.
