Valta Guynn Livesay, 94, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2024, in Lubbock, with her family by her side.
Valta was born June 27, 1929, in Harmon, Oklahoma, to Glen Marvin and Dovie Bradley. She moved with her family to Brownfield in 1936. She graduated from Wellman High School in 1947 and married Clarence Livesay on June 5, 1948. He passed away on June 29, 1989. Valta was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Valta is survived by two daughters, Dalene Bell (Kent) of Lubbock and Judy Wilson (Grant) of Bakersfield, California; five grandchildren; a sister, Alice Briscoe of Seminole; three nieces and four nephews.
Private interment was in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
