Veldon Levon Jeter

Services for Veldon Levon Jeter, 77, of Brownfield, will be held at 10:30am on Monday, October 7, 2013 at the Brownfield Church of Christ with Bo Shero officiating. Burial will follow at the Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Brownfield Funeral Home.
Levon passed away on Tuesday, October 01, 2013 in Brownfield. He was born on January 15, 1936 in Brownfield to Willis Winston and Ruby Lela Jeter. He attended Brownfield Schools and was a member of the Brownfield Church of Christ and Toastmasters organization. Levon married Veedajo Chisum on November 4, 1955 in Brownfield. He was employed for twenty five years at Pioneer Natural Gas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willis Winston Jeter and Ruby Lela Jeter and a grandson, James Daniel Jones.

Levon is survived by his wife, Veedajo Jeter of Brownfield; 3 sons, Lyle Dean Jeter of Sweetwater, Randy Wayne Jeter of Harlingen and Tracy Devon Jeter of Nolan; a daughter, Debra Lynn Mahoney of Sweetwater; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; a sister, Eva Powell of Burleson and 2 brothers, Leroy Jeter of Brownfield and Eugene Jeter of Gilmer.
