Funeral Services for Vernon (V.C.) Marshall Click will be held at 10 am on Monday, January 2, 2023, at Bethel Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm on Sunday, January 1, 2023, at Brownfield Funeral Home.

Vernon (V.C.) Marshall Click went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 29, 2022, after a brief illness. He was born on January 29, 1936, to Verliah and Archie Click in Weches, TX. He moved to Brownfield in 1953. He married Linda Rutledge in 1955 and they had 3 children. She predeceased him in 2000.

Vernon started working at Newsom Gin in 1958 and worked there until 1982, when he started farming until his retirement in 2000. He married Susan Moon in 2001. He is predeceased by his first wife, Linda Click; father Archie Click; mother Verliah Peacock; stepfather Monroe Peacock; two sons Wendell Click and David Charamut; three brothers and two sisters.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Susan Click; two daughters Deborah Hook (Bobby) of Brownfield and Alicea Charamut (Bob) of Newington, CT; daughter-in-law LaDonna Click of Sundown; son Paul Click (Dorma) of Brownfield; eight grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters.
